Every board operates on a set of foundational documents that define how it governs — yet in many organisations these are missing, outdated, or were never properly tailored to that board in the first place. Our Board Policy Development service helps boards draft, review and update the policies that govern their own conduct and decision-making.
This includes documents such as the board charter and committee charters (audit, risk, remuneration, nominations), a conflict of interest policy, a remuneration policy, a code of conduct, and a delegation of authority framework — among other core governance policies every well-run board should have in place.
We work with boards to ensure these policies are up to date, aligned with good governance practice and relevant legislation, and fit for the organisation's own structure — not generic templates. Where gaps exist, we draft new policies from scratch; where policies already exist, we review and strengthen them.
